Where Stories Shine in Every Word

That day, on his way home from school, Issei stopped by a bookstore near the station.

He normally didn’t take the train. He was driven around in a chauffeured car.

But, on a whim, he decided to act like a commoner.

At the bookstore near the station, he mostly browsed through books on human psychology.

According to Chitose, he apparently didn’t understand this thing called『a woman’s heart.』

If he learned more about it, it might come in handy the next time that impulse hit him.

Though seeing Niko’s panties had satisfied him, he didn’t know when the urge to see someone else’s might rise again.

    “Do you like books?”

A female bookstore employee spoke to him.

“Indeed. Reading text is quite beneficial.”

Issei replied without even turning to face her.

When it came to absorbing knowledge, books were the most efficient medium. In Issei’s case, he could finish an entire volume in the time it took the average person to skim a few pages—mere seconds.

After finishing the book he had opened, Issei finally turned to look at the woman who had spoken to him.

She wore glasses, and her long hair was tied back in a ponytail. The red apron suited her well.

“I’m looking for books on human psychology—particularly female psychology.”

“In that case, these, and these, and maybe this one too.”

    “I’ll take them all.”

    “All of them… sir?”

    “All of them.”

He had already finished reading them, but leaving with just the information would count as theft.

Genius though he was, Issei made it a point to abide by the rules of ordinary people.

“Alrighty! I’ll carry them up to the register! Thanks for the purchase!”

The books were taken to the counter. Issei watched the employee’s back as she walked.

She was wearing jeans—not a skirt.

But of course, even beneath those jeans, there were panties.

    —That thought crossed his mind.

    That—it—came over him again.

That familiar burning urge surged through him, and Issei thought:

    “I want to see panties.”
